Ezekiel’s Wheel, UFO’s, UAP’s And The Bible. Can They Be Reconciled?

**It doesn’t take a lot of television watching these days to find a program or two on UFO’s, UAP’s, alien visitors or paranormal events.  Many of these programs even bring up Ezekiel’s wheel and the bible.  As many of us watch these programs we silently ask ourselves if the people reporting these events are being truthful, intentionally lying, drugged or perhaps mentally ill. This subject is very interesting to me as it relates to Christianity. Over the years I have discussed this subject with my fellow Christians and I generally get the same sort of response. They will generally admit that Angels, fallen Angels and demons all exist and that they can move around on earth in angelic or human form and that they can even move back and forth from the earth to a skyward location. The same Christians that are willing to believe this are also the Christians that tend to lose their minds if you try and put an Angel or a demon in some sort of flying craft.  It’s as though humans are smart enough to build such a craft but the Angels and Demons have neither the knowledge or materials to do so.  In keeping with the theme of this site we are going to keep commentary and opinions short and let bible speak for itself.

Ezekiel’s Wheel

**To start the biblical portion of this article let’s first look at Ezekiel’s wheel located in chapter 1 of his book. If we can prove that this is a flying machine then it should be case closed, that is, if there were advanced
flying machines in Ezekiel’s day then they likely still exist.  Many run from this chapter or make statements about what they believe it is.  But truth is in the details which we are now going to explore
.

**Ezekiel actually saw this. He describes something flying that is a mixture of mechanical, electrical parts
and animal like fixtures.  There is something riding in it and at the top of the craft there was what appeared to be a man that was able to speak.

**A lot is said about the wheels but don’t become sidetracked, it really doesn’t matter,  just
remember they appear to be mechanical in nature.

**After reading the next few sections it is hard to deny that the appearance is that God in the flesh is
riding in some sort of airborne craft that is driven by mechanical and electrical parts with angelic figures also present.

**As we read let’s question the text.  First let’s ask if the wind and fire are for propulsion or just appearance?  Is what we are seeing here for looks or like our modern day planes and cars things are needed to propel it. Is the cloud a covering or related to the wind and fire? We are using the New International Version here with excerpts from other bible versions.

Eze 1:1  In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the
Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

Eze 1:4  I looked, and I saw a windstorm (whirlwind, kjv) coming out of
the north–an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,

Eze 1:5  and in the fire (light?) was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was human,

Eze 1:6  but each of them had four faces and four wings.

Eze 1:7  Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze.

Eze 1:8  Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. All four of them had faces and wings,

Eze 1:9  and the wings of one touched the wings of another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not
turn as they moved.

Eze 1:10  Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right
side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.

Eze 1:11  Such were their faces. They each had two wings spreading out upward, each wing touching that of
the creature on either side; and each had two other wings covering its body.

Eze 1:12  Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as
they went.

Eze 1:13  The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire
moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it
.

**The creatures and the wheels appear to be attached and both are producing flashing and sparkling
light.  Would this appear as an orb at a distance? We will discuss orb’s, glowing round balls, later. So far we have seen glowing metal and flashes of light. Which could be both mechanical and electrical.  Now we see wheels which are mechanical in nature. We don’t know the reason for the wheels but we can assume they are preforming some type of an important function.

Eze 1:14  The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.

Eze 1:15  As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.

Eze 1:16  This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel.

Eze 1:17  As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went.

Eze 1:18  Their rims [vault] were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.

Eze 1:19  When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when
the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.

**Are the spirit and the living creatures 2 different things? The word used for spirit is also used for
“wind” as in wind that moves things.  Is it possible that the wheels are a lift or propulsion system?

**The next few verses are very interesting. Starting at verse 20 we see the word “spirit”.  A quick check
with Strong’s dictionary tells us that the Hebrew word used for spirit (h7307) is many times within the bible translated as “wind”.  In fact many of the “wind” translations are within the Books of the Prophets. Use critical thinking
as you read the following verses and ask yourself if it makes more sense that wind is being produced by the wheels or if a wheel is necessary to carry the detached spirit of a living creature.  Could it be that what is being
referred to as the living creatures is actually being moved by the wind?  In verse 20 we also see the word “living” which is Strong’s word h2416. In other places within the bible this word is translated as “quick” or “active” or “flowing”.

Eze 1:20  Wherever the spirit [H7307 wind] would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit [wind] of the living  [h2416] creatures was in the wheels.

Eze 1:21  When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still;
and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit [wind] of
the living creatures was in the wheels.

Eze 1:22  Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome.

Eze 1:23  Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.

Eze 1:24  When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.

Eze 1:25  Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings.

Eze 1:26  Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above
on the throne was a figure like that of a man.

Eze 1:27  I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire (light?), and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.

**What is Ezekiel actually describing in this last verse?  He is describing this craft as “the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord”.  Is he actually saying that this was God in the flesh or that the craft and his experience with it
could only be something sent by God? In the last sentence of the verse he refers to the glory of the Lord as “it”.

Eze 1:28  Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

**Here God is sending fire on Magog and in verse 21 he displays his glory to the nations.  Is this the glory of the Lord, Ezekiel’s wheel, that is being displayed?  Is the fire sent on Magog coming from the wheel?

Eze 39:6  I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.

Eze 39:7  “‘I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be
profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel.

Eze 39:20  At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,’ declares the Sovereign LORD.

Eze 39:21  “I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay on them.

Eze 39:22  From that day forward the people of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.

**I find these next few verses quite amazing as they relate to this subject. Ezekiel is now given a ride in the “glory of the Lord” the craft he had seen in chapter 1.  The spirit and the glory of the Lord are two different things.  When the glory
of the Lord is seen the spirit or wind is also with it.

**All present day propulsion and lift systems make a loud noise so in the next few verses we have wind, rotation, a loud rumbling sound and lift or what is required for a modern aircraft to go airborne.

Eze 3:10  And he said to me, “Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you.

Eze 3:11  Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.”

Eze 3:12  Then the Spirit (wind) lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound as the glory of the LORD
rose from the place where it was standing
.

Eze 3:13  It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against each other and the sound of the wheels beside them, a loud rumbling sound.

Eze 3:14  The Spirit (wind) then lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD on me.

**If we were to take a modern day helicopter back 2500 years and allow people to ride in it and then to write
a description of the event while using only their currently available language what would it look like?  Perhaps something like what Ezekiel description?

**Next, the voice of the lord came to Ezekiel and commanded him to go to the plain and that he would speak to
him there.  When Ezekiel got to the plain the glory of the Lord was standing there like he had seen before.  Then the spirit came and spoke to him.  The spirit and the glory of the Lord are separate things.  Ezekiel says the glory of the Lord was like what he saw at the river Kebar which is his experience described above in chapter 1 which was some sort of flying craft.

Eze 3:22  The hand of the LORD was on me there, and he said to me, “Get up and go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you.”

Eze 3:23  So I got up and went out to the plain. And the glory of the LORD was standing therelike the glory I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown.

Eze 3:24  Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet. He spoke to me and said: “Go, shut yourself inside your house.

**In chapter 10 of Ezekiel we are still reading about this strange craft.

Eze 10:4  Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple. The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance (brightness) of the glory of the LORD.

Eze 10:5  The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard as far away as the outer court, like the
voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

Eze 10:6  When the LORD commanded the man in linen, “Take fire from among the wheels, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood beside a wheel.

Eze 10:7  Then one of the cherubim reached out his hand to the fire that was among them. He took up some
of it and put it into the hands of the man in linen, who took it and went out.

Eze 10:8  (Under the wings of the cherubim could be seen what looked like human hands.)

**Again, this is a description of craft that has mechanical, electrical parts with cherubim and from the text it appears that the God of Israel is being transported in this craft.

**In verse 13 they are now calling the wheels “the whirling wheel”.  Apparently the wheels are turning rapidly.  The wheels are receiving a lot of attention in this chapter.

Eze 10:9  I looked, and I saw beside the cherubim four wheels, one beside each of the cherubim; the wheels sparkled like topaz.

Eze 10:10  As for their appearance, the four of them looked alike; each was like a wheel intersecting a wheel.

Eze 10:11  As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the cherubim faced; the wheels did not turn about as the cherubim went. The cherubim went in whatever direction the head faced, without turning as they
went.

Eze 10:12  Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were completely
full of eyes, as were their four wheels.

Eze 10:13  I heard the wheels being calledthe whirling wheels.”

Eze 10:14  Each of the cherubim had four faces: One face was that of a cherub, the second the face of a human being, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

Eze 10:15  Then the cherubim rose upward. These were the living creatures I had seen by the Kebar
River
.

Eze 10:16  When the cherubim moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the cherubim spread their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not leave their side.

**Is the wheel a propulsion system for the cherubim which is outside of the wheel or is the cherubim riding in the wheel?  Is the wheel an unrecognized part of the cherubim?

Eze 10:17  When the cherubim stood still, they also stood still; and when the cherubim rose, they rose with
them, because the spirit (wind-propulsion) of the living creatures was in them.

Eze 10:18  Then the glory of the LORD departed from over the threshold of the temple and stopped
above the cherubim
.

Eze 10:19  While I watched, the cherubim spread their wings and rose from the ground, and as they went, the wheels went with them. They stopped at the entrance of the east gate of the LORD’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

Eze 10:20  These were the living creatures I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the Kebar
River, and I realized that they were cherubim.

Eze 10:21  Each had four faces and four wings, and under their wings was what looked like human hands.

Eze 10:22  Their faces had the same appearance as those I had seen by the Kebar River. Each one went straight ahead.

**Were now going to look at other biblical happenings as they relate to things flying.  I think we do have to admit that from Ezekiel chapters 1,3 and 10 that although we do not full understand what was occurring, it does appear that this is a flying craft and that in at least chapter 3 Ezekiel was given a ride in it.

Abductions

**As we move on from Ezekiel’s wheel we have here something that appears out of the sky and has the elements of something to ride in with fire and whirlwind….propulsion.  And we now have a new element, two abductions and
one is by a flying machine.

2Ki 2:1  When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their
way from Gilgal.

2Ki 2:11  As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

Gen 5:24  Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

More Flying Craft

**Here God is coming down to earth with fire and his chariots are like a whirlwind. Do these descriptions have a lot in common with Ezekiel’s wheel?  Ezekiel wasn’t the only prophet to talk about flying machines, Isaiah and Jeremiah also saw these things.

Isa 66:15  See, the LORD is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

Jer 23:19  See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.

Jer 4:13  Look! He advances like the clouds, his chariots come like a whirlwind, his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us! We are ruined!

**Ezekiel in chapter 1 also saw an immense cloud. In these next verses is this the same craft that Ezekiel saw?  During the exodus it was said that the Lord was in a cloud over the people.  Is there an actual craft there in the cloud?

Exo 13:21  By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.

Exo 13:22  Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire (light?) by night left its place in front of the people.

Exo 14:19  Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them,

Exo 14:20  coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.

Exo 14:21  Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,

Exo 14:22  and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

Exo 14:23  The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them
into the sea.

Air Combat

**I call the next two verses the first use of airpower in combat.  The Lord is looking down from the cloud fighting against the Egyptians and it is clear from verse 25 that the Egyptians could see what was occurring in the
sky above them.

Exo 14:24  During the last watch of the night the LORD looked down from the pillar of fire (light?) and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.

Exo 14:25  He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The LORD is fighting for them against Egypt.”

Ezekiel’s Wheel?

**Here Aaron looked and saw the glory of the Lord (craft) appearing in the cloud.  I believe that they are seeing what Ezekiel will also see, Ezekiel’s wheel.

Exo 16:10  While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there
was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud
.

**The description here of the Lord descending onto Mount Sinai is very interesting.  We have noise, fire, smoke and the mountain is shaking. Is this Ezekiel’s wheel landing? Again this is a little spooky to some Christians because the appearance here is that we have God in the flesh landing on top of the mountain in some sort of craft and we know that God doesn’t need, want or have a flying craft.  As you read verse 18 below try and answer a question.  Did God create the fire, smoke and trembling mountain to get the attention of the people or was this a physical reaction to some type of craft landing?

Exo 19:9  The LORD said to Moses, “I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you.” Then Moses told the LORD what the people had said.

Exo 19:16  On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.

Exo 19:17  Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

Exo 19:18  Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. The smoke
billowed up from it
like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently.

Exo 19:19  As the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and the voice of God answered
him.

Exo 24:15  When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud covered it,

Exo 24:16  and the glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the LORD called to Moses from within the cloud.

Exo 24:17  To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top of the
mountain.

Exo 24:18  Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Exo 33:9  As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses.

Exo 33:10  Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent.

Exo 33:11  The
LORD would speak to Moses face to face
, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

Exo 34:5  Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD.

Exo 40:34  Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

Exo 40:35  Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

Exo 40:36  In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;

Exo 40:37  but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out–until the day it lifted.

Exo 40:38  So the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire (light?) was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.

**In many verses in this article we have seen a cloud present.  Why the cloud? Each time we see the cloud it is if something is being hidden. Perhaps we are given the answer in chapter 39 of Ezekiel.

Eze 39:29  I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.”

Flying Tube

**It might come as a shock to some but there are more things flying around in the bible than just birds.  Here’s something that looks like a flying tube.

Zec 5:1  I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll.

Zec 5:2  He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.” [15 ft. x 30 ft.]

Zec 5:3  And he said to me, “This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be
banished.

Zec 5:4  The LORD Almighty declares, ‘I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and its stones.'”

Last Days Return Of The Fallen Ones

**So in the old testament we have seen several things flying around other than birds.  Ezekiel’s wheel offered the best description of a flying craft.  From the description given it’s hard to dispute that it’s not made of mechanical and electrical parts that are flying through the air.  So what does the New Testament have to offer on the subject?

**First let’s consider a few interesting verses from Luke chapter 21 verses 9, 10 and 11.

**These are considered future end-times verses.  If we look at the end of verse 11 we see the wording “and fearful events and great signs from heaven”.  These verses are from the New International Version of the bible.

Luk 21:9  When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”

Luk 21:10  Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Luk 21:11  There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

The Good News Translation words it like this.

Luke 21:10-12   10 He went on to say, “Countries will fight each other; kingdoms will attack one another. 11 There will be terrible earthquakes, famines, and plagues everywhere; there will be strange and terrifying things coming from the sky.

**Different versions translate verse 11 differently but the Good News Translation likely says it best that “there will be strange and terrifying things coming from the sky”.

**Later in the chapter we come to verse 26. It tells us that people are actually terrorized by what is coming on the world from the heavenly bodies.

Luk 21:26  People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

**I found that a Strong’s dictionary word search for verse 26 was very revealing.  Generally most bible versions give an interpretation similar to the King James and the New International Version.

**The following is the King James Version with Strong’s numbers for verse 26.

Luk 21:26 (kjv) Men’sG444 hearts failing themG674 forG575 fear,G5401 andG2532 for looking afterG4329 those things which are coming onG1904 theG3588 earth:G3625 forG1063 theG3588 powersG1411 of heavenG3772 shall be shaken.G4531

**After a careful study of the Strong’s word definitions and the context of the chapter and the verse, I believe that this verse could have very well have been written as follows:

Luke 21:26 Mens hearts failing them due to being put in fear (g5401) and apprehension of evil (G4329) which are arriving and attacking (G1904)the earth for the forces (powers) (G1411) of the region above the earth (heaven) (G3772) will be cast down (G4531).

**Regardless of which version of the bible you use the information from verses 11 and 26 tell us that at some point in the future, powers from some place other than the earth are going to come to the earth.  I think generally that most biblical scholars have no problem with this and generally agree that these are fallen angels, demons or something from the Satan side of things.  Once again I believe that the problem that most of these scholars have is with these “powers” arriving to the earth in some sort of flying craft. I believe, along with others, that this will be an attack by fallen angels disguised as something from another world.  The world has been bombarded for years by UFO shows and many other shows like Star Trek and actual UFO sightings which have normalized extraterrestrial life to the point that most believe that life does exist on other planets.  If something in the form of a spacecraft with aliens arrives on earth from what appears to be another planet it could mean an end to most of the world’s religions if the event were not recognized as Demonic deception. The next few verses may very well be the answer if this occurs.

2Th 2:2  not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us–whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter–asserting that the day of the Lord has already come.

2Th 2:3  Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

2Th 2:9  The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

2Th 2:10  and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

2Th 2:11  For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

**In verse 3 above we see the phrase “rebellion occurs”.  Other versions of the bible use the phrase “falling away”.  Most commentators believe that this is a “falling away” or unraveling of the Christian faith and that Christians are walking away or departing their belief system.  What type of an event would it take to crush the Christian religion?  Would a man standing on a stage somewhere in the world proclaiming to be God be enough?  Certainly not. Would several spaceship type vehicles landing somewhere on earth with non-human looking creatures of advanced intelligence do it? Probably.

**With a little study you will find that in the bible the word “star” can mean two things.  It can be an actual star that we see in the sky every night or it can be referring to an angel or spirit type being.  So ask yourself, if you were standing outside and looking up and saw a glowing ball of light coming down from the sky what would you describe it as?  Maybe a falling star or maybe an orb.   Luke 21:12 described “strange and terrifying things coming from the sky”, what could be more terrifying than the angel of the abyss described in Revelation chapter 9:

Rev 9:1  The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.

Rev 9:2  When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.

Rev 9:11  They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

**John saw this event so I believe that the humans on the earth at that time will also see this occurring. John saw what he described as a star or a ball of light that came from the sky.  Many UFO sightings these days are described as “orbs” or balls of light.  Are we now seeing on earth the objects of these verses?

**The next few verses from Revelation chapter 12 are the subject of controversy.  And the controversy is if this event has already occurred or will happen in the future. Is this a spiritual event or an earthly physical event? I believe that it is future physical event.  After reading these verses consider Luke 21:11 and 26 again.  Is this the event being described there?

Rev 12:7  Then war broke out in heaven [sky]. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.

Rev 12:8  But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven [sky].

Rev 12:9  The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Rev 12:10  Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

**I have also found the next few verses some of the more interesting verses in the bible.  This is Jesus along with the armies of heaven returning to the earth.  And what is their means of transportation?  It’s a white horse.  We only have a few options with what we can do with these verses.  We can call it a spiritual or symbolic event and run from it or we call it a literal event and further explore it. If we call it a literal event we have two options.  The first being the appearance of something like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and his fellow reindeer pulling the sleigh. We all remember the reindeer kicking their legs while traveling through the air.  Believe it or not I think that has the highest probability here.  The second option is that the horse’s represent some other form of transportation.  And the problem with that is that as many scholar’s know, Jesus and the army of heaven absolutely do not need or even have some sort of craft for transportation.

Rev 19:11  I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.

Rev 19:12  His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.

Rev 19:13  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Rev 19:14  The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

I’m not sure how much you as the reader have gained from this article.  If your reading and understanding of the bible is at the superficial level, that is: Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Michael, Gabriel, Adam, Eve, Noah, Moses, then you may attempt to deny, spiritualize or simply refuse to comprehend what the bible actually says on the subject. There are many “weird” topics within the bible and I once heard a very intelligent bible scholar say, “if it’s weird and in the bible then it’s important”. This, I believe, is very much one of those subjects, that is Ezekiel’s wheel and flying horses. Ultimately, there may very well never be a flying craft from another world show up.  But I believe that we as Christians need to keep the possibility in our hip pocket least we be caught off guard and deceived.
